Episode Summary: B-Movie
Lightning McQueen and Mater accidentally stumble upon a film set in Rustville, where a science fiction zombie movie is being filmed under the direction of filmmaker Bella Cadavre.
An assistant spots Lightning and insists on hiring him as the sheriff's deputy, as the previous actor was unconvincing. Lightning's acting and lines are far from perfect. When Mater tries to comfort him, Bella in turn offers him a small role: Mater turns out to be very funny and lands the role of a scientist, then that of the president.
The next day, Lightning apologizes and they both decide to continue filming — only to learn that the film has been completely halted as it was deemed catastrophic, and that it will be transformed into a high-end musical.
They then briefly reunite with Ivy, discovered at the circus, who is offered her big break as the star of the film. Leaving Rustville, Lightning asks Mater for the presidential speech he was supposed to write himself: Mater delivers it, and it's much better than Lightning imagined.
