The fifth episode of the Disney+ series, which has been airing since September 8, 2022, Cars on the Road continues the road trip with the trio (Lightning, Mater, and Ivy) and this time passes through the world of the circus.

Episode Summary: Show Time

Lightning McQueen, Mater, and Ivy stop at a car wash. Ivy finally gets clean: under the mud and foam, a superb sparkling aquamarine bodywork appears.

Back on the road, the trio spots the Circus Velocitas. Ivy and Mater are amazed by the show, while Lightning reveals he is terrified of clowns.

The presenters ask for a volunteer. Despite Mater suggesting Lightning, Ivy is chosen. Lightning and Mater fear she will crash into everyone — but to their great surprise, Ivy begins to dance and gracefully spin around the clown cars.

Lightning congratulates Ivy on her performance. She then announces that the circus has offered her to join them. Lightning admits it's probably for the best: he and Mater say goodbye to her, promising to see each other again one day.
