Where can you see Lightning McQueen at Disneyland Paris?
The Cars attractions in Paris are at Disney Adventure World, the second park at Disneyland Paris, which adopted that name on March 29, 2026. It opened on March 16, 2002, for the resort's tenth anniversary, as Walt Disney Studios Park.
Cars ROAD TRIP and Cars Quatre Roues Rallye, both themed to Cars and Route 66, sit at opposite ends of the Worlds of Pixar area.
So there is no Cars Land in Paris. The full-size recreation of Radiator Springs is in California. Cars ROAD TRIP borrows the town's colors and motifs, but on a smaller scale and in a more understated way than Cars Land.

🧢 Lightning McQueen, Luigi and Mater, the cars you'll wave to at the Cars ROAD TRIP stops, can also be worn on your head: they're waiting for you in our Cars bucket hats.
Cars ROAD TRIP: Route 66 by tram
Cars ROAD TRIP, first announced as Cars: Route 66 Road Trip, opened on June 17, 2021, the day Disneyland Paris welcomed guests back after its COVID-19 closure. It is a reimagining of Studio Tram Tour: Behind the Magic, the tram ride that opened in 2002 and closed for good on January 5, 2020, and it keeps the same basic concept.
Aboard a Cars-themed tram, you're guided by Cruz Ramirez and Sally Carrera over the vehicle's speakers: Cruz speaks in English, Sally in French. The tour lasts about 7 minutes and has no minimum height requirement. The ride's boarding station evokes 1950s American gas pumps, with rockabilly music playing in the background.
- First stop: Lightning McQueen, Luigi and Guido pose in front of the “World's Largest Lugnut.”
- Second stop: in Cars-tastrophe Canyon, a huge tanker truck in Dinoco colors takes a “shower” out in the wild; this scene, carried over from the old Studio Tram Tour, simulates an earthquake with pyrotechnic and water effects. Guests may get splashed.
- Final stop: Mater, known for his scrap-metal creations, is starting a new piece, an Eiffel Tower reimagined in car parts; life-size figures of him and Fillmore stand at this stop.
💦 The spray from Cars-tastrophe Canyon can reach the tram: reason enough to slip one of our Cars bath and beach towels into your bag.
Cars Quatre Roues Rallye: the ride for little ones
Cars Quatre Roues Rallye, inspired by the first film, dates from June 9, 2007, and faces Crush's Coaster. The two neighbors opened on the same day and were exclusive to Disneyland Paris at the time.
It is a Demolition Derby-style spinning turntable ride: you pick your vehicle, which switches from one turntable to the other while reversing its spin, tracing a figure-eight path. The setting recreates the gas station and the desert around Radiator Springs, with a rock shaped like a radiator cap and a trompe-l'oeil painted backdrop that imitates the rock formations of the Grand Canyon.
As of October 2026, the Disneyland Paris website lists it in the “Fun For Little Ones” category, with no minimum height. Each vehicle normally carries two adults and two children, for a ride of about a minute and a half. The website also advises expectant mothers against the ride.
Food truck, Hotel Santa Fe and character encounters
On the way to Cars ROAD TRIP, the Laugh'N' Go food truck sports Cars colors: it serves a Croque McQueen, a Worlds of Pixar cupcake and the “Flo's Special” cupcake, a nod to Flo, the show car behind the V8 Café. Both cupcakes are sold only at Disneyland Paris.
Outside the parks, Disney Hotel Santa Fe brings the world of the films to life: 1,001 rooms inspired by Cars, walkways named Luigi, Mater, McQueen and Sally, and a drive-in screen that has shown Lightning McQueen and Sally Carrera since 2011, replacing an image of Clint Eastwood.
Character encounters, however, are not guaranteed: as of October 2026, Lightning McQueen is not listed among the characters at Worlds of Pixar, where the official website names Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear. At the Santa Fe, the characters who pose in the lobby every day for a souvenir photo are billed as “Mickey and his friends,” with the website noting that characters may vary.
Lightning has driven in Paris before, though: in April 2011, a drivable Lightning McQueen replica replaced Herbie's cameo in the Moteurs… Action! Stunt Show Spectacular, which closed on March 13, 2020.

Cars at other Disney parks around the world
In California, Cars Land has recreated Radiator Springs across 4.9 hectares (12 acres) at Disney California Adventure park since June 15, 2012. It is home to Radiator Springs Racers, open to guests 102 cm (40 in) and taller, as well as Mater's Junkyard Jamboree and Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters, both with a minimum height of 81 cm (32 in).
In Florida, the Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy show at Disney's Hollywood Studios, which opened on March 31, 2019, gave its final performances on October 7, 2024, before closing for good; since May 27, 2025, its theater has hosted Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After. Cars fans can still stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, with its Cars family suites, its Cozy Cone Pool and life-size replicas of Lightning McQueen, Sally, Doc Hudson and Mater.
A full-fledged Cars land is in the works at Magic Kingdom. Announced in August 2024 at D23, the Disney fan convention, it is replacing the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island, which closed in early July 2025. Named Piston Peak, or Piston Peak National Park, it will feature two attractions: Cars Ridge Run Rally, a race that will climb and then descend the snowy peak that gives the land its name before crossing a geyser field, and Miss Fritter's Daredevil Spin-Along, built around a giant audio-animatronic school bus in the likeness of Miss Fritter. As of October 2026, Disney has not yet announced an opening date.
In Asia, no Cars attraction is listed in Tokyo, Shanghai or Hong Kong as of October 2026. At Hong Kong Disneyland, however, a Pixar show announced for Toy Story Land is expected to open in the first half of 2027 and take audiences through five Pixar worlds, including the world of Cars.
